KHOTANG, JUN 20 - One girl died here in the district on Friday night after failing the SLC test. Manisha Rai, 17, a student of Krishna Higher Secondary School, died due to heart attack after coming to know that she has failed the iron-gate.
A local teacher Hira Ghimira said that Rai used to be a topper in her class. The sudden news that she has failed the SLC exam came as a shock to her and she lost her consciousness. “She is a top scorer of her class,” said Ghimire, “She failed in Optional Math examination just obtaining 17 numbers. After hearing it, she fell down unconscious and never came back.”
According to Ghimire, Rai has secured first division in all other subjects.
